Christmas in Las Vegas: Where to Go and What to See

Christmas in Las Vegas: Where to Go and What to See

Christmas is Las Vegas? It may not be your first thought for a Christmas time adventure. The desert doesn’t scream fireplaces, snow, sleighs, and Santa.

However, there are a number of ways that Las Vegas makes the Christmas holiday season special. Join us, as we take you to select sites that do Christmas right in the Las Vegas desert.

Bellagio Conservatory

We visited Las Vegas over Thanksgiving. And that afforded us opportunities to see many Las Vegas attractions decorated for the holiday season.

The Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Garden is always a can’t miss stop on any Vegas stay. We never miss it.

During our Thanksgiving stay, the Conservatory had transformed into ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas display. Taking inspiration from the classic poem by Clement Clarke Moore, the Bellagio Conservatory became an oversized winter wonderland. The site was decorated with classic Christmas themes. We could practically smell sugar plum fairies dancing in our heads.

The Ethel M Chocolate Factory in Henderson, Nevada is a year-round must-see attraction. Not only do you see the famous chocolate being made on site, but you also can stroll through a three-acre cactus garden on the grounds.

The cactus garden changes during the Christmas holiday season, when the garden shines with more than one million Christmas lights strung throughout the cactus and succulents.

On most evenings in November and December, you can stroll the Christmas adorned gardens for a small $3 entrance fee (children 2 and younger and seniors 65+ are exempt).  Some of the entrance fee is donated to local charities.

Santa is available most nights for photos. Hot chocolate is available for purchase too,

During out Thanksgiving visit, we stayed at the Flamingo Hilton. Decorations were up for the holiday season.

Throughout the casino and outside by the pool and wildlife habit, we discovered decorated trees.
